Transport of the deceased in Croatia and the European Union
Tijan Funeral Services carries out the collection and transport of the deceased throughout Croatia and within the European Union. We help families with the required documentation, communication with the competent institutions and the organisation of transport to the agreed destination.
Collection of the deceased
Collection can be arranged from a house, flat, hospital, care home for the elderly or another institution. After you call, we will explain what information and documents you need to prepare and arrange the place of collection and the transport destination.
International transport within the EU
In the event of a death abroad, transport must be coordinated with the regulations of the country where the death occurred and the rules for entry into Croatia. We help families organise the transport of the deceased from European Union countries and obtain the documentation required for transport. We check each case individually, as the required documents may depend on the country and the circumstances of the death.
Transport of an Urn
A crematorium certificate is required to transport an urn. Before the journey, we recommend that you contact us so we can check together the documentation required for the specific country and destination.
